ClearLayer AI Chrome Extension — Privacy Policy

This page describes what the ClearLayer AI Portal Assist extension does with data when you use it on customs and logistics portals.

What the extension accesses

The extension can read form fields on supported customs and logistics portal pages so it can match fields with clearance data you approved in ClearLayer. It runs only on pages you open while logged into those portals.

What is stored on your device

The extension stores a ClearLayer transaction ID in your browser's local storage so it can link the portal tab to the correct clearance session. Nothing else from the portal form is saved locally by the extension.

What is sent to ClearLayer

The extension sends only the transaction ID to api.clearlayerai.ai to fetch broker-approved clearance fields for autofill. It does not upload portal passwords, session cookies, or raw form contents to ClearLayer servers.

What we do not collect

  • Portal usernames, passwords, or MFA codes
  • Government portal session tokens or cookies
  • Raw form field values transmitted to ClearLayer servers
  • Screen recordings or screenshots of portal pages
